Crusaders Guild

Meeting October 5 at 5 pm at the Doggett’s house–Wymount building 9D #557. We’ll be having an overview of personas, basic clothing, and some Crusades stuff, though we’ll save the bulk of that for out lecture next week. If you have a few yards of fabric you want to use to make a T-tunic, please bring it and we’ll help you out. Solid colors are best. Black, blue, and purple were expensive to dye and therefore not the most period choice for clothing this basic, but if you want them anyway, bring them. For T-tunics, broadcloth, muslin, linen, or other natural fabrics work the best and look the most accurate. Rayon, stretch velvet, and spandex should be avoided. Future meeting will include samplings of other guilds, instructions on how to make pouches, hats, and ghillies (shoes), and a hands-on lesson in making great garb from stuff you find at DI. Please come! Old members are also welcome to come and learn or hang out.
