Mystics Guild

We will be having a discussion let by Christine on a topic of her choice this Sunday, Feb 17.

The dark ages of history seemed never to end… [but] honest men with yearning hearts, at the peril of their very lives, attempted to establish points of reference, that they might find the true way… Their deeds were heroic, their contributions many, their sacrifices great—but they did not restore the gospel of Jesus Christ… One could ask: “Was their sacrifice in vain? Was their struggle futile?” I answer with a reasoned no. The Holy Bible was now within the grasp of the people. Each person could better find his or her way. Oh, if only all could read and all could understand! But some could read, and others could hear, and all had access to God through prayer… [and eventually] the long-awaited day of restoration did indeed come.[*]

Throughout the ages between Rome and Joseph Smith men have yearned for, served, and followed the Lord. Even in the dark days of apostasy, when wars were fought in the name of God and atrocities committed for the sake of the Church, there have always been true servants of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As the Mystics Guild we study the religion of the people of the Middle Ages from our perspective in the Latter Days. Much of what we have depends upon the actions, thoughts, and lives of many awesome men and women from centuries past. Come and learn about it all with us!
